B.Well: Eat well to live well
At the Bristol Buja the old saying “Mens sana in corpore sano” (“A sound mind in a sound body”) refers to psychophysical wellbeing in its most comprehensive interpretation, meaning quality of life. If we are what we eat, the aim is to become ever more aware of this.

Created in 2015, the B.Well is a gastronomic proposal that over the course of the week aims to offer our guests nutritionally healthy, balanced menus, at the same time captivating for sight, smell and taste, senses that should never never be ignored at the table.

B.Well is the result of a collaboration involving our Chef, our consultant nutritionist and the supervision of family cardiologist, Doctor Gianfranco Buja. Choosing the B.Well Menu will guarantee “healthy eating”, in other words following a diet aimed at maintaining an optimum state of health and preventing cardiovascular and oncological diseases. Moreover, you will get ideas for maintaining a healthy lifestyle once you are back at home.

B.WELL Menus
Every B.Well Menu, both at lunch and at dinner, will consist of three or four courses, and includes a starter and/or a dessert as well, to “pamper” you a little. The characteristics of B.Well menu: a balance of animal and vegetable proteins, use of few vegetable fats, wholegrain cereals, at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day, during the span of a week.
The B.Well proposal
In particular, the new menus pay attention to the caloric intake also and follow these focuses:
● the 14 elaborated menus never exceed, overall, the 2000 kcal, even if they propose 3 and / or 4 courses per meal and take into account the importance and presence of a good breakfast;
● despite all the dishes are the result of study, knowledge and creativity, the cooking techniques used are always respectful of the raw materials, flavours, characteristics and organoleptic qualities of each of them;
● all meals comply with the breakdown in macronutrients indicated by the Larn (reference levels of Nutrients and Energy for the Italian population), ie 40-65% carbohydrates, 25-30% fats, 15% proteins;;
● the use of ingredients that guarantee the greatest contribution of bioactive substances like carotenoids and polyphenols, natural antioxidants immediately available;
● the exclusive use of mono and polyunsaturated fats, which have a better impact on health (in particular on cardiovascular risk);.
● the quantity of fiber respects the minimum of 25 g / day.
Bristol Wellness however, includes all our gastronomy and can be seen in:
● using local, biological ingredients with a short distribution chain, and of guaranteed origin;
● choosing fats of vegetable origin and non-refined sugars, as much as possible;
● healthy cooking techniques, such as low temperature cooking;
● homemade goodness: bread baked in our own kitchen with our own starter yeast, an in-house bakery that produces croissants, jam tarts and plum cakes for breakfast, biscuits, milk puddings for after dinner.
