WELLNESS HOLIDAY, BY BIKE

At the Bristol Buja the bike lovers will find specific services for ciclists, trails suggestions and expert guides to discover the territory, and our World of thermal Wellness to get relaxed after intense riding.
As you are in the wonderful Euganean area, you can choose from cycle paths to enjoy nature and glimpses of the Euganean Hills, hilly and flat areas, with stops to visit Venetian Villas, medieval hamlets and walled towns, castles and abbeys, and obviously to taste the local food and wine. On your bicycle you can also follow riverside cycle paths towards Padua, Vicenza and the Brenta Riviera, taking in stretches of the Venetian countryside along the riverbanks. The cycle paths are of varying degrees of difficulty and length, depending on your fitness levels, and are suitable for road-, gravel-, and MTB-bikes. Aside from the advice you will get at our Reception, you can follow GPX tracks or book a guided excursion, be it the Relax-slow bike option or the Energy option with a specialised MTB guide.

1 - Into the heart of the Euganean Hills

Type of bike: mountain bike or e-mtb bike
Distance: 40 km
Elevation: 1100 metres
Grade: moderate - difficult
Duration: 4-5 hours
Direction: clockwise
Terrain: first part free flowing with a compact surface and, in part, long dirt cycle track; in the central part some sections prove technical and fun, and the central area along the slopes of Monte Venda are panoramic.
Route Description
This route will bring you into the heart of the Euganean Hills Park, an ideal area for going mountain biking, with fun trails and single trails right in the woods, in a series of challenging climbs and adrenalin-fuelled descents. The route also leads you alongside monumental and historical points of interest such as the Camaldolese Monastery on Monte Rua and Villa Vescovi in Luvigliano.

2 - Along the ring of the Euganean Hills, towards Arquà

Type of bike: Gravel – Mtb – Touring bike
Distance: 80 km
Elevation: 650 metres
Grade: moderate - difficult
Duration: 4-5 hours
Direction: clockwise
Terrain: mostly solid surface, cycle path; in the second part asphalt mixed with gravel paths.
Route Description
An alternative route to the classic cycle Ring of the Euganean Hills. It mainly retraces the classic ring, but as we felt it was important to make a few adjustments to see some deserving areas that the classic circuit does not reach, we inserted a detour. It takes in Arquà Petrarca, a splendid medieval hamlet where the eponymous poet once lived, and Villa Dei Vescovi in the Luvigliano area, another very noteworthy site in the area, once the summer residence of the Paduan clergy, and now owned by F.A.I (Italian National Trust).

3 - Hamlets, Castles and Vineyards

Type of bike: Touring bike
Distance: 57 km
Elevation: 850 metres
Grade: moderate - difficult
Duration: 3,5 hours
Direction: anticlockwise
Terrain: asphalt
Route Description
The right balance of sport and leisure: all those who love pedalling but also enjoy taking in the views will find everything they are looking for on this trail. With ascents that are never too long or challenging, leaving some energy to look around and admire the pleasant hills covered in vineyards and olive groves. Along the route, the historical points of note like Arquà Petrarca and Catajo Castle provide a fitting frame for the panoramic Euganean Hills Regional Park.
